SIMON VAUGHAN - Chairman and Joint CEO

Simon has 30 years’ experience in television in a variety of roles including producer, executive producer, distributor and financier and has become renowned for his distinct creative-business skill set. Recent high profile projects include War and Peace, Ripper Street and Parade’s End all of which were nominated for BAFTA awards in the best drama category.

FAITH PENHALE - Joint CEO and Creative Director

Faith began her career in drama over 20 years ago and has worked on a wide range of shows: from multi award-winning espionage series Spooks, to a BAFTA winning era of EastEnders. Faith worked for ten years at Kudos before she joined BBC Wales as Head of Drama in 2011. Her track record there included the global phenomenon Sherlock and the much-loved Doctor Who. More recently Faith executive produced Andrew Davies’ critically acclaimed and BAFTA-nominated adaptation of War and Peace and Sally Wainwright’s To Walk Invisible. At Lookout Point, Faith is producing Press by Mike Bartlett, Andrew Davies’ adaptations of Les Misérables and A Suitable Boy, as well as Sally Wainwright’s upcoming show, Gentleman Jack.

SAUL VENIT - Chief Operating Officer

Saul joined Lookout Point as COO following BBC Worldwide’s acquisition of an equity stake in the company and is responsible for the broad range of Lookout Point’s business activities. Prior to working at Lookout Point, he was Director of Commercial and Legal Affairs at BBC Worldwide, a post that he reached after a 15-year career at the BBC and BBC Worldwide in the UK and US. He holds a degree in History from Cambridge University and qualified as a lawyer in 1998 in a law firm specialising in libel law and intellectual property.

DAMIAN KEOGH - Managing Director

Damian is Managing Director at Lookout Point and is responsible for driving the commercial operations and strategic development of the company, having previously performed the role of Head of Drama at BBC Worldwide. He started his television career as a freelance producer with Flying Pictures and Pearson, where he worked on big factual and entertainment productions. Damian then joined and ran Skyworks, an independent production company making factual series for major UK and international broadcasters. Before starting work in television, Damian was a radio presenter and producer working for BBC Radio Oxford and Jazz FM.

LOUISE MUTTER - Head of Production

Louise worked as a freelance Line Producer for a number of years on productions including Cops, Boudica, Messiah and Cracker. She also worked on the Roath Lock Studio build for BBC Wales and with the BBC drama team on relocating Casualty there from Bristol. She joined Lookout Point from Sky, where she was key to the delivery of its high-end Drama slate starting with Fortitude in 2014 and culminating most recently with Riviera. At Lookout Point she is Head of Production and oversees all of the company’s projects.

CHRIS CAREY - Executive Producer

Chris has been working in television for 20 years and has produced and executive produced multi award-winning, high-end scripted drama and comedy for all the major broadcasters. Recent credits include Apple Tree Yard and River for the BBC and Run for Channel 4. In 2008 he set up The Welded Tandem Picture Company where he developed and produced This Is Jinsy and Dirk Gently and won an International Emmy for the world’s first Arabic-language web drama Shankaboot.

FRANCIS HOPKINSON - Executive Producer

Francis recently joined Lookout Point as an Executive Producer. Before this, he joined ITV Studios from Left Bank Pictures, where he was Executive Producer of DCI Banks for ITV1 and the BAFTA Award winning Wallander. Prior to that, Francis was commissioning Editor for Channel 4’s Drama Department overseeing projects including the multi-award-winning Elizabeth I, Sugar Rush, Longford and E4’s Skins. At ITV, Francis established a drama unit responsible for developing and producing a new slate of scripted content, including Lucan, Home Fires and the upcoming Trauma.

LAURA LANKESTER - Executive Producer and Director of Development

Laura is responsible for overseeing the growth of Lookout Point’s slate, as well as executive producing shows in production. She began her career working with Andrew Davies on BBC2’s The Line of Beauty and went on to join Kudos where she was a script editor in both development and production, across a wide range of shows. In 2011, Laura became Head of Development for BBC Wales where she developed a diverse slate of drama with some of the UK’s most exciting writers, including Andrew Davies’ BAFTA-nominated War and Peace, which she also script produced.

YASMINA HADDED - Head of Business Affairs

Yasmina is Head of Business Affairs at Lookout Point. She qualified as a commercial solicitor at an International law firm before specialising at leading Media and Entertainment law firm, Sheridans. Yasmina made her first in-house move to Warner Bros. in the UK to oversee all Legal and Business Affairs matters for the drama and comedy production companies within the group. Prior to joining Lookout Point, Yasmina ran the Legal and Business Affairs department for Fifty Fathoms, part of the Endemol Shine Group

JAMES GREEN - Finance Director

James is responsible for all aspects of finance at Lookout Point. He joined the company as Finance Director following nearly 7 years at Banijay UK in a variety of roles. These started at the children’s television and animation company, The Foundation TV Productions, before moving to group level positions covering companies in UK, Belgium, Netherlands and India across all genres. Prior to this, he trained as an auditor at BDO UK where he gained his ACA qualification.

WILL JOHNSTON - Head of Development

Will works across the Lookout Point slate driving forward new developments, supporting existing projects and forging relationships with writers and the wider creative community. Previously, Will script edited To Walk Invisible for Sally Wainwright, after three years with BBC Wales Drama where he first started working with Faith, Laura and Andrew Davies script editing War and Peace. Will’s career in development began at Working Title Films, after reading English at Cambridge.

STELLA MERZ - Development Script Editor

Stella supports the development of new and existing projects on the Lookout Point slate, and will script edit Sally Wainwright’s upcoming series Gentleman Jack and Andrew Davies’ adaptation of A Suitable Boy. Before joining Lookout Point, Stella worked with Michelle Archer in the Film and TV department at United Agents. She has a degree in History from the University of Edinburgh.

SARA DURANTE - Business Operations Executive / EA to CEO & COO

Sara came to Lookout Point with a background in film production and development, having worked for various producers and directors in Europe and LA, as well as 5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant at Paramount Pictures and for the Group CEO at Zodiak Media. At Lookout Point she is the Business Operations Executive and runs the offices of Simon Vaughan and Saul Venit. Sara holds a Communication Sciences degree from the University of Siena in her native Italy, as well as a Master’s Degree in The Economics and Management of Film and TV Companies.

EMILY FINCH - Marketing and Sales Coordinator

Emily looks after marketing activity for the company whilst assisting Damian Keogh on the commercial side. She joined from Atlantic Productions, where she ran the executive office and built experience in TV press and marketing on productions including David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef and David Attenborough meets President Obama. Emily holds a degree in Politics from the University of Durham.

KASSI CHALK - Development Assistant

Kassi joined Lookout Point to support the busy development team. After graduating from Cambridge University with a BA in English Literature, Kassi gained experience as a reader and researcher for Sister Pictures. Prior to this, Kassi toured Japan with a production of The Merchant of Venice while working as a theatre-in-education workshop leader.

ANNA FYWELL - PA to Faith Penhale and Development Coordinator, Benchmark TV

Anna is the first point of contact for Faith Penhale and coordinator for Benchmark Television submissions. Prior to this, Anna worked at The Agency for a year and, before that, gained experience at various drama companies (Kudos, Red, Carnival) as well as on set. Alongside work experience, Anna also directed her own short film. She holds a degree in History of Art from the University of Leeds.

AMY SHARMAN - PA to Chris Carey and Office Assistant

Amy organises Chris Carey’s diary and maintains the smooth running of the office while providing support to all members of staff at Lookout Point. Prior to this, she was a freelance production coordinator/manager working in film. She recently received a Production Manager credit for Mum’s List, a film based on the bestselling novel by St John Greene. She holds a degree in Film Production Technology from Staffordshire University.
