Our Bafta-nominated show Gentleman Jack, created by Sally Wainwright for BBC One and HBO, recently wrapped its second series having won the RTS Award for Best Drama Series for Series 1. 2020 saw our ground-breaking adaptation of Vikram Seth’s A Suitable Boy from Andrew Davies and Mira Nair. Alongside Les Misérables (2019) starring Dominic West, David Oyelowo and Lily Collins and War & Peace (2016) starring Paul Dano, Lily James and James Norton, this completes a trilogy of world classics from Andrew Davies for the BBC.
Most recently we have announced the commission of an 8-part swashbuckling 18th century family adventure series by Sally Wainwright, The Ballad of Renegade Nell, for Disney+.
Other productions include Mike Bartlett’s bold and provocative newspaper drama, Press, for BBC One and Masterpiece, starring Ben Chaplin and Charlotte Riley, and from Sally Wainwright Series 5 of the award-winning, much-loved Last Tango in Halifax and her landmark single film To Walk Invisible, which followed the extraordinary lives of the Brontë sisters, both for BBC One.
